**Responsibilities** **Position Summary:** The incumbent provides coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. Each RN is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team providing leadership personal/professional development and conducting him/herself professionally. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + One (1) year labor and delivery experience required in an acute care setting. + Associates Degree Nursing (ADN). + Current California RN license required. + Current BLS certifications required (must be certified through the American Heart Association) + Current ACLS and NRP certifications required within 3 months of hire (must be certified through the American Heart Association) + Basic AWHONN fetal monitoring acceptable at hire, but must complete the Intermediate AWHONN course within 6 months hire. + AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course every two years thereafter or obtain NCC Fetal Monitoring Certification and maintain as specified. **Preferred Qualifications:** + One (1) year Labor and delivery C/Section/PACU OBED Postpartum/Newborn Nursery Unit experience preferred \#RN@DH **Overview** Built-in 1973 Dignity Health Methodist Hospital of Sacramento is committed to providing daily excellence in health care for residents of Sacramento's southern suburbs including the Elk Grove Wilton and Galt communities.
