Job Title: HR Generalist (Temp-to-Hire, Bilingual Preferred)
Location: Corona, CA (Hybrid – Occasional Onsite Required)

Position Overview

A growing warehouse solutions company based in Corona, CA is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations and ongoing process improvements. This is a high-ownership role , ideal for a bilingual HR professional with a strong generalist background who is ready to be the sole HR practitioner on site and grow into an HR Manager role over time. This is a temp-to-hire position , starting part-time with potential to move into full-time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the sole on-site HR representative , taking full ownership of HR operations and employee support.

  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, including job postings, background checks, and orientation.

  • Improve onboarding experience through streamlined processes, documentation, and employee surveys.

  • Ensure compliance with California wage and hour laws, including break policies and timekeeping audits.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all HR inquiries, employee relations, and policy clarifications.

  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, and reconciliations.

  • Partner with payroll and finance to review payroll drafts, set up new payroll accounts, and ensure accuracy.

  • Organize and maintain digital employee files; help clean up folder structures and document tracking.

  • Utilize and improve HRIS functionality ( Paycor ), especially connecting Recruiting and Core modules.

  • Foster communication and trust with Spanish-speaking warehouse employees.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.

  • Proven ability to operate independently as the sole HR representative in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required for day-to-day communication with warehouse staff.

  • Solid knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance best practices.

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems – Paycor strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to multitask across various HR functions.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with leadership and external consultants.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial work environments.

  • Multi-state payroll or benefit administration experience.

  • Comfortable working in both office and warehouse settings.

  • Desire to grow into a leadership-level HR role over time.
