Job Description Insight Global is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Officer to work for a large environmental construction company in the Bay Area. The Health & Safety Officer is responsible for field support of the HSE program to ensure compliance with applicable mandates, requirements, standards, and regulations. This role involves coordinating the planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining various health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure the highest possible degree of safety for employees. Daily tasks include maintaining training and certification files, performing and entering Safe Work Observations (SWO), and managing the subcontractors. Additionally, they prepare project-related HSE documents, manage data associated with near misses and incidents, and support the HSE manager. The role also involves recordkeeping, managing subcontractor HSE qualification documents, and assisting with the transition to digital HSE forms and trend reports.
